Your cabin is set in its own private corner of our paddock with a secluded decking and lawn. Guests have the entire carriage to themselves including full use of the spa bath at your leisure, 24/7. Full, extensive instructions will be provided before check-in. The carriage provides an off-grid experience without compromising on essentials for cooking and bathing. A woodburner and high quality bedding creates the perfect cosy getaway, rain or shine.

Other Details to Note

We operate a very quiet farmyard but please be aware of our tractors and farm animals. We have two pigs, quail, Guinea fowl, chickens and horses on site, they are very friendly but please do let them enjoy the countryside’s natural tranquility! Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

Upper Grove Farm is set with bucolic English countryside. A short drive from the historic market town of Framingham and the picturesque seaside village Aldeburgh. Whilst we're secluded, rural and remote we still just 3 miles from the A12 so getting about the coast is a breeze. We thoroughly recommend Friday St Farm Shop for the best in local produce it's better than any local supermarket and it's great to support local and only a 5 minute drive. There is also a Waitrose, Tesco and Local Butcher and Baker in Saxmundham, which is also five minute drive. We have a range of restaurants nearby that range from fine dining to hearty pub grub. We have noted our favourites in our guidebook which will be sent to you upon booking. In your cabin our farm is your neighbourhood and we hope you enjoy stark views across the fields packaged within serenity and wildlife. On a clear night we have unblemished views of the starry sky, with this in mind we keep lighting to a minimum around the farm, so we recommend bringing a phone with a torch/torch if arriving/leaving in the dark.

Guest Access

We have lots of free parking in the farmyard and the cabin is a short walk across the meadow from where you park. What makes the farm so peaceful is it’s remote location down country lanes. That said, it’s just 10 miles to the heritage coastline with beautiful seaside towns like Aldeburgh and Southwold on your doorstep. There is a pretty walk across the fields to the local pub (35 minute walk) and plenty more in cycling/driving distance. We keep grass margins around all of our fields so you can have a wander and meet our pedigree pigs, horses and Guinea fowl. We often have wild deer and foxes roaming the farm which guests often get to see on an evening stroll.

We have plenty of private off-road parking on site. Your carriage is just a short walk from the car park. There is plenty within cycling distance but for the seaside or local town you’ll want to drive. Wellies are a must if the weather is wet!

Ben was very responsive and helpful. This place is amazing and was an amazing getaway from the city. At night we were able to see so many starts. In the morning sheep were next to us roaming around. Ben’s place is amazing and I hope to come again. 1000000% recommend to anyone who wants to escape the city. For a bonus we were able to go to Aldeburgh beach to get the best fish and chips!

Ben was friendly and provided us with very useful information before arriving, regarding how to access the cabin and use the spa bath. The cabin was lovely, very clean and relaxing. Very peaceful! Ben provided a list of recommended places to visit, which we found very helpful considering we haven’t visited this area before. Would highly recommend and return in the future
