Cosy cabin with outdoor rolltop bath and woodstove

Suffolk, England, United Kingdom

2 guests
1 bedroom
1.5 bathrooms

The perfect place to leave life behind and disconnect. A rural retreat just 10 minutes from Suffolk’s heritage coast. Please note this has an outdoor bath - better than a hot tub as you can use fresh water every soak, with no chemicals. The cabin features: - A completely private outdoor bath, for 24/7 outdoor soaking. - King bed (with Eve© memory foam mattress). - Completely plumbed en-suite with toilet, rainfall shower and sink. - Dog friendly walks across the farm. - Meet our pigs.

Good to know

Your cabin is completely self contained in its own private space. The outdoor roll top bath - an amazing experience which, unlike a hot tub uses fresh water for every soak and no heating time - sits atop a secluded decking and lawn overlooking the hedgerows and fields. It's an unrivalled way to reset your system in nature. You can also enjoy cold soaks for those Wim Hof fans! The cabin provides an off-grid experience without compromising on essentials for cooking and bathing. Dual hobs and kitchen necessities with a luxury, properly plumbed bathroom allow you to get away from the daily distraction of T.V and wi-fi without compromising on comfort. A woodburner and linen yard bedding creates the perfect cosy getaway.

Other Details to Note

On your decking is a beautiful roll top bath for long hot soaks in the fresh air. We provide you with plenty of wood for your stove and the kitchenette has the essentials for a meal.

Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

Upper Grove Farm is set with bucolic English countryside. A short drive from the historic market town of Framingham and the picturesque seaside village Aldeburgh. We have a range of restaurants nearby that range from fine dining to hearty pub grub. We have noted our favourites in our guidebook which will be sent to you upon booking. In your cabin our farm is your neighbourhood and we hope you enjoy stark views across the fields packaged within serenity and wildlife. On a clear night we have unblemished views of the starry sky, with this in mind we keep lighting to a minimum around the farm, so we recommend bringing a phone with a torch/torch if arriving/leaving in the dark.

Guest Access

We have lots of free parking in the farmyard and the cabin is a short walk across the meadow from where you park. What makes the farm so peaceful is it’s remote location down country lanes. That said, it’s just 10 miles to the heritage coastline with beautiful seaside towns like Aldeburgh and Southwold on your doorstep. There is a pretty walk across the fields to the local pub (35 minute walk) and plenty more in cycling/driving distance. We keep grass margins around all of our fields so you can have a wander and meet our pedigree pigs, horses and Guinea fowl. We often have wild deer and foxes roaming the farm which guests often get to see on an evening stroll.

Part of what makes Upper Grove Farm so special is its remote location and so we recommend bringing a car. We are however on a cycle route and as such we do have guests arrive on bikes. We can recommend local taxi firms and we are just 5 minutes from Saxmundham train station.

Had a great night, spent six hours in the out door bath 😄, great location for work definitely will stay again when I’m down in the area next. I’ve recommended the hut to work colleagues

We had an absolutely care free stay at Ben’s cabin, in perfect surroundings amongst nature. Can’t recommend enough if you want to get away from it all. Ben was the perfect host and we hope to be back soon. We would give the stay 10 stars if we could. Thanks Ben!

We had a very relaxing stay in the cabin, the bath was a great touch and we would absolutely come back again. The only thing I would change next time would be to book more than one night!

The place if you want a quiet, peaceful getaway surrounded by the best of the Suffolk countryside. We had amazing weather for our one night stay. The bath was brilliant (takes a while to fill, bear in mind). The cabin was cosy and homely. I can imagine a winter stay would be equally wonderful. Being a Sunday evening and wanting a more substantial meal than was available at the closer (and offering food), we walked the The Poachers Pocket. About 1hr 10 mins at a leisurely pace along quiet lanes and bridleway. Looked like there was all you'd need to cook at the cabin and a large fridge. Would recommend to family and friends.
